How long does this take?
All books vary in the time they take to produce.
Depending on how much content you provide up front and how many editing passes you want through the process will better inform exact timeframes, but most projects are completed within 5-6 months.
Do I have to launch it right away?
No way! You are free to launch your book whenever you want—and however you want. When we finalize your book, you’ll be ready for your individualized plan, whatever we decide that to be.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Every situation is different, so I tailor each offer to your needs.
How much time do I have to dedicate to the project?
Although most of the work falls to me, you should plan on most decision points being yours.
While working with the content, I’ll make decisions based on what I would feel is best for your audience and the goals you established, but you have ultimate say.
The biggest time consumer would be reading it (and giving me feedback) so that the content, style, and layout are just what you envisioned. The final production process also requires more back-and-forth while decisions are made, so the time requirement would be heaviest toward the end.
How do you write it in my voice?
A combination of consuming your content, speaking directly with you (where I asses verbiage, word usage, personality, tone, etc) and giving you the chance to change, tweak, and edit the manuscript to suit how you feel the content would best represent your thought leadership and style.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. Before any work starts on a project, a contract will be signed by both parties.
Does anyone find out that you wrote the book?
No. As part of the contract, I ask that no credit be given anywhere to me as writer of the book, and I also include an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for you, so no one in your audience would have to know.
Do you accept everyone?
No. If you’re interested in working together, I use the free Brainstorm Call to assess whether we would be a good fit as a team and whether I would be a good fit for the content. Unfortunately, this means I do not work with everyone.
